These dogs worked for border control, and they are from the Czech Army.

The breeding of the Czech German shepherd took place in a single kennel in 1955. These dogs were bred mainly to protect the country’s borders. Czech German Shepherds were bred from DDR German Shepherds. It has strong nerves, loyalty, intelligence, masculinity, the great potential of hard work, and dark coloration. The DDR German shepherd and Czech German shepherd have similar bloodlines, but they are not the same. The Czech German shepherd is a new breed, and modern breeding of the bloodlines is not heavily regulated. They are bred to be more docile and family pets. 

What Are Some Basic Facts About Czech German Shepherds?

Physical appearance

The weight of the male is 30kg to 40kg, and the female is 22 to 32 KG. The male Czech German Shepherd dog can be as tall as 65 cm and short as 60 cm. At the same time, the females are as tall as 55 to 60 cm.

Hygiene

They shared during seasonal changes. They must be brushed or groomed twice a week. A bath should be given To them when they are dirty. Meanwhile, the canine shampoo will be good for them. Their teeth must be brushed once a week. And canine toothpaste will help to keep the teeth clean. Nails should be clipped, and you can take the help of the veterinarian.

Temperament 

They are intelligent and energetic, our family pets, and relax while playing with their toys. They have great stamina and endurance. They love going for walks, runs, and playing outdoors. They certainly need open space to run and play. If they don’t burn their energy, they will be loud, destructive, and hyperactive.

Food and feeding habits

Czech German shepherd eats between 2 to 4 cups of dry dog food in a day, and these foods can further be divided into 2 to 3 males. You can take the help of a veterinarian in this respect. Only feed your dog as directed. Because too much food is bad for their health. They will become overweight. They are given high-quality dry food depending on the weight, metabolism, health, age, and activity level. For example, puppies need different quality of food than adult dogs. Water is essential for the Czech German shepherd. Give a bowl of water for at least 2 to 3 times a day. Water keeps the dog hydrated and healthy with a where to noise and full coat. Give them treats to but not regularly. Please don’t give them human food as they will become sick or overweight. Make sure that while eating or drinking, they should stand.

Health issues

The Czech German shepherd can have a year infection, hip dysplasia, and I problems. They should have an appointment with the vet once a year. For long and healthy life, take your dog for walks, feed correctly, and visit a vet with proper care; Czech German Shepherd can live up to 12 to 15 years.

Czech German shepherds are very intelligent and fast learners, so they are eager to please the owner. Anybody who can train a Czech German shepherd must know the proper training methods. But the trainer is a good idea for dogs training. The Czech German shepherd will respond to positive reinforcement training. In it, unwanted behaviors are redirected towards desired actions. For example – if your dog chooses on your doormat, take it from him by giving stern but gentle scolding. Then give the dog his favorite toy. The toy’s replacement makes him or her understand, he or she will remember their favorite toy’s joy.

Czech German shepherd also understands the method of training called nothing in life is free. This method teaches the dogs that they must give first, and then he will receive what he wants. For example, if he or she wants your attention, he/she has to sit quietly. Throughout the training, patience is needed.
